The Izanagi Project

The art and technique of
designing and building

About This Project

The Izanagi Project, named after the Japanese goddess of earth and creation, is a one-of-a-kind subterranean villa complex in Greece. This unique residential design offers luxury, functionality, and sustainability, making it an environmentally friendly living space. With its minimal design, use of natural materials, and subterranean houses that seamlessly blend with the surroundings, the Izanagi Project is a true testament to innovative living.

Villa Izana, meaning “the villa that invites you” in Japanese, features a stunning guest house with breathtaking views. The same is true of the other villa, Villa Gi, which is a sight to behold and carries the Greek meaning of “Earth.”
The Izanagi Project is a uniquely designed green project by ECLÉDE and G_Architects in Lefkada, Greece.
