Boomerang Athens Featured in iefimerida

A New Benchmark for Sustainable Residential Design

Boomerang Athens, the sustainable residence developed by Ecléde in the heart of Athens, has been featured in a new article by iefimerida, highlighting the project’s growing recognition within the international architecture and design community.

Located between Lycabettus Hill and Kolonaki, the 425 sq.m. residence combines contemporary architectural design, advanced technology and environmental responsibility. The project has achieved LEED Platinum certification, becoming the first single family residence in Greece to reach this highest level under the LEED v4.1 BD+C framework.

The international attention surrounding Boomerang Athens follows its feature in Designboom and a series of prestigious distinctions, including the German Design Award 2026, the A’ Design Award, and a Silver Award at the International Architecture & Design Awards 2026 in the Sustainable & Green Architecture category.

As Vasilis Siafarikas, Founder and CEO of Ecléde, explains, the project was conceived to demonstrate how high-end residential architecture can combine refined aesthetics with measurable environmental performance. Enhanced thermal insulation, triple glazed energy efficient windows, photovoltaic systems, heat pumps, controlled ventilation and integrated KNX automation contribute to a highly efficient and comfortable living environment.

For Ecléde, Boomerang Athens represents more than an individual residence. It reflects a broader approach to contemporary architecture where design, technology and sustainability are seamlessly integrated to create homes that are both sophisticated and responsible.
